Help students plan for, engage in, and reflect on physical activity with this Digitial Physical Activity Journal designed for Google Classroom.
I designed this Digital Physical Activity Journal template during my adventures in distance learning back in the spring of 2020. Designed to complement the learning taking place during our SMART Goals Fitness Unit, the idea behind the journal was to help students maintain a healthy physical activity streak. Each day, students could earn a daily point by engaging in physical activity that fell into one of three categories:
☀️ Daily Moves: Students could earn a point in this category by engaging in regular, everyday physical activity such as going for a walk or playing in the yard.
💪 FITT Moves: Students could earn a point in this category by engaging in planned physical activity that was designed to help them reach the SMART Fitness Goal they had set for themselves earlier in the unit.
🧭 Adventures Moves: Students could earn a point in this category by engaging in out-of-the-ordinary physical activity that had them stepping outside of their comfort zones.
This Physical Activity Journal templated was designed to be assigned as an activity in Google Classroom. You can see how I used Google Classroom and Google Drive to create, assign, and monitor the Physical Activity Journal for my distance learning lessons in this episode of The #PhysEd Show Vlog:
