Help students and their families establish healthy, balanced schedules for their remote learning experiences.
While reading through the #physed hashtag on Twitter recently, I saw that a lot of teachers (and schools) will be going remote this week as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop. Many of those teachers/schools/students/families will be moving to a distance learning reality for the very first time.
There’s no denying it: having your world suddenly be turned upside down is super scary. We forget how much our day-to-day routines serve us and provide us with a sense of security and comfort. When we made the jump in the spring, I knew that – as a family – we need to give our days some structure in order to find a way to survive (let alone thrive). As my family and I got to work, I decided that this may be an activity that others could benefit from as well. That’s when I decided to make this “My Super Schedule” sheet to share with my students and their families.
The sheet helps students create a daily routine that focuses on living a balanced lifestyle so that they don’t get lost in the craziness of it all. I received a lot of positive feedback from families (both from my school and online) who sat down and built their routines together.
