ThePhysicalEducator.com 3.0

Welcome to the latest version of ThePhysicalEducator.com.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on redesigning ThePhysical Educator.com to make it as easy to navigate, to look at, and to like as possible. Today I’m launching that site and hope that you’ll agree that it has significantly improved.

Many parts of the site are the same: you’ll still find our
blog (although now commenting on and sharing articles is greatly improved), our games database (our games template has been updated to include TGFU elements), our curriculum centre (with more links coming in every day), and our QR Skill Posters (with more being updated to the new template as you read this).

However, the new version of the site comes with many new features as well. We’ve decided to renew our efforts in social media and put a greater emphasis on helping Physical Educators discover and connect with fellow professionals. That’s why we’ve created a
Network page to help explain how we will be using each of the social networks we are present on and we’ve also create a Social Media Resource Centre to help new teachers learn how to set themselves up on different social networks so as to optimize their professional networking efforts.

We’ve also added a new type of resource:
Infographics. We will be creating more of these as we go along to help make Physical and Health Education-related statistics more visual and fun.

Finally, to help promote other high quality Physical Education blogs, we’ve created a
Partner Program. Partners will have some of their awesome blog posts from their own blogs featured here on ThePhysicalEducator.com (of course, their blog’s URL will be highlighted within each of their posts to help drive traffic back to their site). Also, Partners will be have a profile space showcased on ThePhysicalEducator.com’s About page with links back to their blog and any social network accounts they wish to promote.

That being said, we hope you like the new site and let us know what you think (either in the comments, on Twitter, or Facebook). We’d like to remind you that we, ThePhysicalEducator.com’s team (a.k.a.
Mike, Sophie, and I), are teachers just like you. We don’t make any money off the site, we only do this because we’re truly passionate about Physical Education and hope to inspire others to be passionate as well.

Thank you for all of your support!
