Enter the name for this tabbed section: Who We Are

A few years back, we were growing frustrated with how people would react when we'd tell them that we taught Physical Education. "Oh, you're a gym teacher" or "How hard can it be to teach dodgeball?" was usually what they would say. And who can blame them? Historically, Physical Educators have been stereotyped as teachers who love to coast: they wouldn't lesson plan, only give good grades to the super athletes, look sloppy at work, etc.

If you are one of those teachers, then this site is for you.
Our Mission
ThePhysicalEducator.com's mission is to promote change in Physical Education through quality teacher resources and online professional networking and development.
Our Vision
Our vision is to have all of the world's Physical Educators connected, sharing, and collaborating online through various social networks.

Joey Feith
I graduated in 2009 from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a Bachelor's of Education (Physical Education). My experience as a teacher involves everything from teaching PE to children with ADHD at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, to being a teaching assistant in adapted aquatics at the Mackay Centre School, to working as a Sports Program Coordinator for an anti-dropout organization called Youth Fusion, to organizing free Physical Activity sessions for families in my hometown of Chambly, to, of course, teaching Physical Education at both the secondary and, just recently, elementary levels.
I have been involved at both the provincial level (I sit on the Executive Committee of the Association of Physical Educators of Quebec) and national level (I was a mentor at the 2010 Physical and Health Education Canada Student Leadership Camp). Also, I have worked for PHE Canada as a social media consultant and resource developer.
When not teaching, planning for teaching, or thinking about teaching, I like longboarding, drinking tea, and spending time with my brothers.
